October 2026 Presentation

  • Engineer's Club of Dayton 110 East Monument Avenue Dayton, OH, 45402 United States (map)

From Archimedes of Syracuse to Elon Musk, Ethical Engineers have had positive impacts to the past, present and future. Tom’s presentation will highlight those engineers and explored how they changed their world and ours, and how their commitment to professionalism and ethics set the standard for engineers of the future.

Mr. Pannett is a seasoned attorney and a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, focusing primarily on the areas of construction, real estate, litigation, and issues involving state and local governments.  Tom retired from state government after 30+ years of service. During his tenure with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), he served as both Administrator for the Office of Contract Sales and Estimating, and the Deputy Chief Legal Counsel. Tom represents professional engineers before the Ohio PE/PS Board in disciplinary proceedings and speaks to thousands of engineers annually on ethics.
